Toby’s family background is from the Czech Republic and since we’ve been together we’ve been to Czech twice to visit his grandparents. Each time we visit, his grandmother would make us beautiful traditional Czech dishes that Toby grew up with and the face Toby makes each time he has it is pure bliss. He’s tried multiple times in the past to write down her recipes, but true to the OG style of cooking, she never measures anything so recreating a dish based on guestimating the ingredient amounts has been difficult. This humble collection of Czech recipes is a mix of babička’s OG recipes that we’ve attempted to recreate and some I found on my own and recreated from restaurants. I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as we do – they’ve all been tested, tried, and approved by Toby!
